My castle crumbles tumbled rubble splintered stone
I'm buried in a sea of wasted paper
The drawing board is worn my pen is dust
I'm sweeping up the heaps of yet another failure
And though I try with tired tools to reconstruct
My vision turns to rust

Why did the promise die?
I used to raise the roof and scrape the sky
A master of design
Once flying high now shot down in his prime
But I still feel the magic in my fingers
That spider's touch could weave a web of gold
And though I cry a hunger in me lingers

Cos I've got a lot left to dream
And my tale is far from told

Cos there’s a parthenon inside my mind
A temple made of shapes that I want to tessellate
But these godforsaken hands of mine are blind and these angles and lines get entangled all the time
But someday I swear I’ll take you there
I’ll make these fantasies in me realities

The fire reignites
